What will the apprentice be doing on site
Working on a major contractor's site, we have an opportunity for an apprentice to move into the construction industry.
You will then gain a L2 Interior Systems Installer qualification, focusing on drylining. Drylining is a process of concealing electrics, insulating and providing insulation and acoustics to a room or area.
As a drylining apprentice, the successful candidate will be involved with:
• Reading drawings and diagrams.
* Metal stud partitioning.
Tacking , taping & Jointing,
• The makeup and structure of internal walls.
• Cutting and measuring sizes and angles of plasterboard.
• Plasterboard fixing to timber and metal frame.
• Walls finishes including joints seals and taping.
• Application of skim and sanding to perfect finish.
• Complete quality assurance checks.
• General construction site Health and safety.
£256 per week
Are there restrictions
The successful applicant will need to have passed the CSCS operative test. TrAC will purchase the relevant card for the successful applicant.
Applicants must be aged 18+ due to site insurance restrictions.
The apprentice will need their own transport as work is likely to be over multiple sites which they will need to travel to independently.
Priority will be given to applications from Southern Housing residents.
